We will meet a shoebill, chimpanzee and mountain gorilla that live in Uganda. In the Mambaba wetlands, shoebills, chimpanzees and mountain gorillas trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Kibale National Park. The country directly under the equator was once called «African pearl» by British Prime Minister Churchill. It is also a treasure trove of birds and will be fascinated by the richness of butterflies and plants.

Trekking to look for gorillas and chimpanzees!
Chimpanzees and Bwindi gorillas live deep in forests hidden from humans. So, to meet them, we walk through protected forests, sometimes climbing slopes. Encounters are highly probable! You will be moved when you meet them.
Visit the Mabamba Wetlands, famous for the shoebill
We will observe many wild birds that can be seen in the park, including the shoebill.
About 300 kinds of wild birds inhabit.
Typical birds are the yellow-tailed duck and the common crested kingfisher.

Arriving in Kampala
Arrived at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.
We will meet with a local representative and send you to a hotel in the Mabamba Wetlands. It takes about 2 hours by car.

Shoebill and wild bird observation in the Mambaba wetlands
Breakfast or box breakfast at the hotel.
A guide will pick you up from your hotel.
On this day, enjoy bird watching while canoeing through beautiful wetlands.

Fort Portal Night

Day3
To Fort Portal (Kibale National Park)
Breakfast or box breakfast at the hotel.
A guide will pick you up from your hotel.
It takes about 5 hours to get to the Fort Portal near Kibale National Park.
You can catch a glimpse of the life of the locals in the village you pass through while advancing the scenery of lush forests and tea fields.
Arrived at the lodge. Enjoy the wonderful view of the crater lake from the lodge, and take a good rest.-

Fort Portal Night

Day4
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park
Breakfast or box breakfast at the hotel.
Leave early in the morning and head to Kibale National Park.
After arriving, go to chimpanzee trekking.
Kibale National Park is home to many primate species, including chimpanzees. The number is the highest in the world, and about 5,000 chimpanzees inhabit the Uganda forest. Experienced rangers seek out chimpanzees and other monkeys. Opportunity to meet them with a sense of distance enough to make eye contact with them!
* Normally, you can encounter 3 or 4 different primate species besides the chimpanzee on the tour, but you may not be able to meet because it is a wild animal.
In the afternoon, we will do a 2-3 hour marsh walk. If you’re lucky, you may even discover a crested turtle!
Along the way, the small communities that you visit will be warmly welcomed by locals.

Head to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a habitat for mountain gorillas.
Breakfast or box breakfast at the hotel.
Leave early in the morning and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. (7 hours)
You will pass through the wonderful scenery that is also called Switzerland in Africa.

Day6
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast in the early morning, head to the national park.
Trekking in search of the endangered Bwindi gorilla.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a unique place in Africa, home to both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. There are also 5 species of primates, 113 mammals, 200 butterflies and 360 species of birds. Tracking gorillas are also used to people and are in contact with humans for several hours every day.
Gorilla tracking can range from 2 hours to at most 7 hours, and if you can see where your gorilla is, you can meet a mountain gorilla for an hour.

Kigali International Airportへ
After breakfast at the lodge, depart for Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. Along the way, we take a break at a shooting spot or a souvenir shop. 4 hours travel including border screening

Gorilla Tracking is a particularly popular activity, so permits may be sold out, so we recommend booking early.
