10-Day Tour of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana & South Africa

Kenya

Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, Cape Town. A tour of the four main regions in Kruger National Park

9 nights 10 days

The tour begins in Zambia, where we took this cruise tour along the Zambezi River, in sheer luxury. The sunset was glorious and utterly welcoming. The following day, we visited Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. This time is perfect for visiting the markets in the surrounding towns or simply enjoying a meal with stunning views of the waterfall.

Day 3. We crossed the border on a day trip to Botswana. After a cruise on Chobe River to observe the animals, enjoy a game drive in Botswana’s Chobe National Park, known as the Elephant Paradise.

On the fourth day, we flew to South Africa. Three consecutive nights spent in Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Cape Town city tours take you to the picturesque Table Mountain, taking a cable car to the top to enjoy 360 degrees of breathtaking scenery. The next day we visited Boulders Bay, located in the Cape Peninsula, a habitat for penguins and the famous scenic Peaks, where 2 oceans (the Atlantic & the Indian) meet.

The tour concludes with a visit to Kruger National Park in South Africa, famous for the Big Five. I took plenty of time, three nights, to get the best of the game drive experience. Our stay is at a choice of luxurious lodges, carefully selected, where nature and luxury are one.

Key aspects of this tour

Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River

It is the fourth longest river in Africa. It flows near the border between Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

The famous Victoria Falls are along this river. On the first day of the tour, take a boat tour of the Zambezi River, observe animals such as hippos, topping it off with a sunset fit for the gods.

Sightseeing in Botswana on a day trip

Taking advantage of the countries’ proximity to each other, take a day trip across the border to Botswana.

Enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River or take a game drive in Chobe National Park, famous for its elephant herds. Isn’t it absolutely awesome that one can visit the neighboring country on a day trip?

Relax in Cape Town

Cape Town is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We stayed in Cape Town for three consecutive nights, having relaxed the itinerary so that we could enjoy the rich and natural port city.

Take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain and visit The Hope Peak, one of South Africa’s most famous tourist destinations, where two oceans meet: the Atlantic ocean and the Indian Ocean. Here, relax and revel in the great atmosphere of a city, unlike any other.

Three nights in Kruger National Park

Three nights in Kruger National Park to give you a chance to see as many animals as possible and relax in the wilderness after a game drive. Having made it thus far, I wanted to enjoy both the game drive and the luxury offered at the lodge. Three game drives in the morning and three in the evening. Put yourself in the wilderness and spend three luxurious days to commemorate the milestones of your life.

Highlights

10-Day Tour of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana & South Africa

Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa, located at the southern tip of the African continent. Table Mountain stands at slightly above 1000m in altitude, making for magnificent views of the beautiful city.
There are plenty of attractions to see, such as the waterfront with its gourmet, culinary and shopping experience, and Boulders Beach, home to the endangered African penguins.

One of the world’s largest waterfalls, Victoria Falls (Mosi oa Tunya), known as ‘the smoke that thunders’ among the locals, is named so because the smoke from the massive falls can be seen from kilometres away! The sight of the water continually flowing down into the basin is spectacular. A large swathe of Victoria falls form part of the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
It is about 50 km from Cape Town and is the southernmost point of the African continent. It is famous for being the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Oceans, meet. From here you can see the difference in color, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. The Cape Point Nature Reserve is graced by ostriches, baboons, zebras and dramatic scenery.
Welcome to Botswana’s first national park. The national park spans five countries: Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Angola.
