8 nights 9 days

Embark on an unforgettable 9-day journey through Namibia, a land of striking contrasts and natural beauty. Begin in Windhoek, then explore the legendary Etosha National Park, home to Africa’s iconic wildlife and dramatic salt pans. Connect with the rich cultural heritage of the Himba, Herero, and Damara people as you travel through Damaraland. On the Skeleton Coast, witness the haunting Zeila Shipwreck before heading to Swakopmund for a marine and desert adventure — from dolphin-spotting boat cruises to 4x4 rides over the towering dunes of Sandwich Harbour. Continue south to the Namib Desert, where the surreal landscapes of Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei await. Climb the majestic Big Daddy dune, walk through Sesriem Canyon, and take in unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. This itinerary blends wildlife safaris, cultural encounters, and dramatic desert scenery — perfect for travelers seeking both adventure and authenticity in one of Africa’s most photogenic countries.

Key aspects of this tour

Location and lodging on safari

Although there are many accommodations near Etosha National Park, upon entering the park, you will see the animals in their natural habitat, past the morning sun and before sunset. And surely, once there, you’d like to see them. That’s why with ONLY ONE, you can experience it, and also stay in a luxury hotel with private reservation. Inside the reserve you will see the animals and you will be just 1 minute from the park gates. The only one accommodation is a 5-star property. There will never be those who can match us.

If you think of the desert of the namib, you can not miss its beautiful sunrises and spectacular afternoon!

Although it is a red dune photo that is often seen in guides and photos of travel agencies, it is not always visible.

Fantastic red dunes appear in front of just 30 minutes from sunrise and sunset. However, the gates of the national park open during the morning sun and close during the sunset. It takes 30 minutes from the gate to Dune 45 and 1 hour to Dead Frey. If you stay outside the national park, you can’t see the red dunes.

Only One secured the only hotel at the door, which is said to be the hardest to organize in Namibia. We are particular about the place where you can worship the sand dunes without worrying about the weather before the morning sun or after sunset. Do you want to photograph the Namib Desert and the starry sky? Your wish will come true!

ONLY ONE is always on the lookout for its customers

I don’t think it’s a trip just to get to know tourist spots. I want to create moments when I can feel the light, the wind, the smell, the color and the people of Namibia. I actually checked with my own eyes and set this schedule with the customer in mind. Except Windhoek, 3 consecutive nights. You can challenge the safari and desert twice as long as you can afford two consecutive nights. We choose everywhere from accommodation to meals and places to visit!

Highlights

9-Day Journey to Namibia from Only One

5 hours drive north of Namibia’s capital, Windhoek. Etosha means «a great white land», and as the name suggests, there is a large salt lake called Etosha Pan in the park. It is said that there are only 340 species of birds, but mammals are the main observations here. There are many animals such as elephants that gather in the waters, lions, rhinos and buffaloes called Big 4.

He lives in Kunene, northern Namibia, and raises cattle and goats. The Himba women continue to live a traditional life by applying something like a cream called «Oka», which is a mixture of reddish ground powder and cow fat, and using ornaments.
The most beautiful port city in Namibia. Located at the northern end of the Namib Desert, it is the only area in the world where the sea and desert are adjacent. The contrast of desert yellow, lake blue, flamingo rose and plant green is a beauty that doubts the eyes. The seafood in the port city where the cold current passes are delicious. Fresh oysters are especially popular at affordable prices! He manages time elegantly between safari and desert.

    Windhoek / Etosha

After an early breakfast this morning we will meet our guide and hit the road. Today we are heading to eastern Etosha and on arrival at the park gate mid afternoon we can enjoy our first taste of the park.

Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa’s premier game parks and wildlife enthusiasts paradise.
The park itself covers 22,270 kms², and gets its name from the salt pan that makes up approximately 23% of the park. Once a massive lake, the Etosha Pan is now mostly dry, with the exception of good rainfall years when the pan fills up enough to become a breeding ground for flamingos that migrate between Walvis Bay and Sua Pan in Botswana.

This afternoon will drive from waterhole to waterhole as they support a rich diversity of animals. These waterholes are one of the most unique aspects of Etosha National Park, and a major attraction for wildlife photographers and animal behaviour experts as the different species of animals, both predator and prey alike, can often be captured (on camera) drinking at the same waterhole.
We exit the park just before sunset and check into our accommodation on the private Onguma Reserve, just outside Etosha.
